SHANE'S TRAINING – Week of February 03, 2025
I’m finally starting to bounce back from the illness(es) of January. I did the Monday workout and managed to complete it in 38 minutes. Yes, the weights are lower than I would have ideally started with, however, I am not going to stress over 15 pounds. That’s only 3 weeks before I am back to the same weights I was doing before traveling and being sick. In the grand scheme of my 2-4 year training plan, it is a blip in time.
My main focus is still on the Olympic lifts but I am going to start incorporating a little more strength work. I really enjoyed the Easy Strength additions that I was doing previously, but I don’t really have the time to do that properly. As such, I am throwing in a couple days of more traditional strength work. A little bit of different height deadlifts and stiff leg deads. I have also decided to throw overhead presses back in. I had laid off of them for a long time to try and let my shoulder heal. That wasn’t working so I am now just going to power through it until it gets better. So far it’s working.
