SHANE'S TRAINING – Week of September 15, 2025
As I stated last week, I think I need to take some time away from the full Olympic lifts to give my shoulder and knee a break. I do think that I can still do some work on power variations, but otherwise will have to do other movements. Perhaps more hypertrophy work. That was kind of the plan this week, unfortunately, as of today (the 16th), I am feeling like I am very close to getting sick. Slight throat soreness. Not quite body ache, but body fatigue and discomfort.
Since I don’t want to push it too hard until I feel better, I can’t say for sure what the week will look like. I feel frustrated that I’ve been in this strange position for two weeks now, but I also know that this happens sometimes. Two weeks, in the grand scheme of things, is nothing and I am still getting SOME work done. At least enough not to backtrack. It can be hard, though, given that it is such an important part of my routine.
