SHANE'S TRAINING - Week of April 13, 2026
Not much to report again this week. I am trying a few new things to strengthen my knee, specifically, really heavy ¼ squats to see if the extra load helps strengthen the tendons. If nothing else, it feels cool, and I will try to do a progressive range of motion with it.
My daughter is competing in her school's junior olympics in about a month. She signed up for the 200-meter race and has decided she needs to train for it. Which means I am going to be adding sprints into my training, rather on top of my training, as she insists that I run with her. It won’t kill me, but I’m sure I will be feeling the additional fatigue.
