Prioritizing Weight Training After 50: Nanette’s Lifelong Journey

Nanette is 57 (soon to be 58), and has been on an incredible fitness journey for over 30 years. The lessons she has learned through her commitment to exercise have been invaluable in her life and she has used those experiences to stay strong, healthy and vibrant. As she has aged, it has become even clearer to her how important fitness is for a quality life, “my goal is to remain active and independent, to do all the things I envision myself doing at this stage of life – enjoying time with younger generations and keeping up with my Goddaughter's boundless energy,” says Nanette.

By prioritizing fitness, Nanette feels that she is succeeding in her goals. However, being older means that she can’t treat her body like a younger person. She stated, "Once you reach a certain age, I believe the muscles just need a little bit more tender loving care, a little bit more attention. It's crucial to prioritize our muscles and overall well-being.” These are things that Nanette has been doing very successfully, but her husband was coming up short, citing lack of proper equipment that allows him to get a “real workout.”

Nanette tested the Agile Rack and provided her feedback:

“At first when we were putting it together, I was like, ‘okay, this doesn't look like it's that sturdy.’ Once we put it up, I said, ‘Wow! This is pretty sturdy equipment.’ But it wasn't heavy. I really like the setup. It's very streamlined and it doesn't take up a lot of space. The Agile Rack brings everything that you need and it's not just a little dumbbell workout. This is the real deal. The real deal, right in your house. My husband would definitely do the home workouts now, as opposed to before.”

Key Takeaways:

1️⃣ Give Your Muscles Some Extra TLC

Regular exercise and strength training tailored to our individual needs can help keep our muscles strong and functional, allowing us to enjoy everyday activities with ease.

2️⃣ Age Should Never Be a Barrier

As we age, exercise supports our physical well-being and enhances our overall quality of life.

3️⃣ The Convenience of Proper Equipment

Having sturdy and compact equipment enables individuals to incorporate regular exercise into their routines without the hassle of going to a gym, making fitness more accessible and achievable.

💡In conclusion, Nanette's fitness journey serves as an inspiring example for individuals of all ages. By providing tender loving care to our muscles, embracing independence and quality of life, and leveraging accessible and streamlined fitness equipment, we can enhance our physical well-being and enjoy an active and fulfilling lifestyle. As Nanette shared, "Fitness is for everyone, regardless of age. It's never too late to start and make a positive change in your life."
