Fatigue management is the planning and implementation of strategies to control and reduce the physical and mental fatigue that can result from training, ensuring that training remains productive, safe, and sustainable. It is essential for optimizing performance, preventing injuries and/or overtraining, reducing the risk of injury, and to promote long-term progress.

Some examples of effective fatigue management:

  • Periodization
  • Proper Nutrition
  • Adequate Sleep
  • Deload Weeks
  • Active Recovery
  • Monitoring Training Loads
